CE marking of UV swimwear

CE marking of UV swimwear

Swimwear with UV protection must meet some very specific demands. By EU legislation, UV solar protective swimwear must be CE marked, and this means the following:

  • Firstly, swim shorts and swim trunks must go down to just above the knees, while T-shirts and tops must cover the skin all the way to just above the elbow.
  • Secondly, the swimwear must be tested to ensure that it keeps its level of UV protection for at least 40 washes.
  • Thirdly, the documentation for the CE marking must be easily accessible online for 10 years.

Of course, all the LEGO® UV swimwear by KABOOKI is CE marked, so that we can offer parents some fantastic products for when the kids are play outside during the summer. The swim clothes have UPF 40+, while the swim hat has UPF 50+, meaning that the skin has excellent protection from the damaging UVA and UVB radiation on the covered areas.

Now, parents just need to put on sunscreen on those areas of the skin that are not covered by the sunwear products. The LEGO sun protective items are made in premium quality materials to ensure that it can withstand the rough treatment of the sun, sand, salt water, or chlorinated pool water. The swimwear with sun protection allows children to play freely, and as a parent you can feel safe because the clothes protect their skin optimally.
